Take the family to the mountains for a weekend of outdoor fun! Whether you are experienced campers or new to the outdoor world, we have a variety of activities for you to choose from. Pricing varies depending on number of participants and chosen activity.

Rafting
Come rafting with us on the North Saskatchewan river just west of Rocky Mountain House! Led by our experienced guides, this is a great introduction to river rafting for all ages and abilities, with the option to skip rapids if you are not comfortable with whitewater. Lake Canoeing
Lake canoeing is a safe and fun way to enjoy the great outdoors. Our Paddle Canada certified instructors will teach you basic skills to maneuver your canoe with confidence. This will provide a great foundation for any future paddling you wish to do. Create memories with a fun day on the lake for the family.
Mountain Hike
Enjoy a full day of hiking in the Nordegg/Abraham Lake area, in the heart of David Thompson Country. Choose from hiking options suitable for all levels. Hike to impressive canyons, beautiful waterfalls, and stunning views while learning about the many plants and animals found in the area.
Wilderness Living Skills
Connect with nature and learn important crafts used in every day bush living, such as fire-lighting, rope making and shelter building. The activities are engaging, empowering and will instill the confidence for the whole family to be in the outdoors!
Boreal Forest Interpretive Hike
Hike through the boreal forest at a leisurely pace, and learn about its many plants and animals. Led by our experienced and qualified guides, this will be a fun, scenic day out for the whole family!
Intro to Camping
Enjoy a private camping experience at HeLa! This program is designed to introduce families to the wonderful activity of camping. During your stay with us, you will learn how to properly pitch a tent, set up tarps, build a fire, and cook safely with camp stoves and fires. Programs utilize leave no trace principles and emphasize bear smart practices.
This activity must be combined with one or more of the activities above.
